Co-Star Alex Newell Raves About Paul Feig and 'Iconic' Cast: "Treated Us All With Respect"
Alex Newell a new addition to the Another Simple Favor crew is already singing praises for the movie. Speaking to Us Weekly at SXSW Newell shared just how much they enjoyed filming the sequel. Being part of a cast that includes Anna Kendrick Blake Lively Allison Janney and Elizabeth Perkins was "the icing on the cake" according to Newell.
Newell specifically highlighted director Paul Feig's approach saying Feig "really created such a lovely piece of work and treated us all with respect to do what we felt and then have the gumption to let us have fun while filming.” It sounds like Feig created a positive and collaborative set which is always great to hear especially with such a star-studded cast.
Newell also mentioned how quickly the cast bonded. Apparently Paul Feig even took them all out on a boat trip to a restaurant on their day off in Italy. Talk about team bonding goals!
