Lapointe in interviews has described the Oscars as a "fantasy" and surreal. She started out as a journalist in Canada before making the jump to producing. She and Villeneuve have created some seriously impressive sci-fi movies together like Arrival and Blade Runner 2049. Dune is just their latest triumph.
Lapointe even mentioned the challenges of filming Dune 2 in scorching desert heat over 50 degrees Celsius! Talk about dedication. She and Villeneuve are a team and their hard work and vision have definitely paid off with the Oscar wins and recognition for Dune: Part Two.

With all this Oscar love for Dune: Part Two naturally fans are already wondering about Dune: Part Three. While nothing is officially confirmed yet Tanya Lapointe hinted that they are not done with the Dune universe. She mentioned the huge fan excitement in South Korea for "Dune: Part Three or whatever the name will be".
Denis Villeneuve has also said he feels like he has only "adapted two books" hinting there is more story to tell from Frank Herbert's Dune novels.
