Switching gears from musical theater to sports ouch New York Yankees fans just got some tough news. Star pitcher Gerrit Cole is going to need Tommy John surgery . That means he is out for the entire 2025 season before it even starts. Double bummer.
This is a huge blow for the Yankees. Cole is their ace their Cy Young Award winner and basically their pitching workhorse. He is going to be sidelined for all of 2025 and probably part of 2026 too.
