Captain America: Brave New World - Sam Wilson Takes Flight and Box Office Predictions Soar
Before the Avengers assemble though get ready for Captain America to take center stage in Captain America: Brave New World. This movie is all about Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson stepping fully into the Captain America role. Early box office predictions are looking really promising. Experts think it could open to $90 million or more domestically over the Valentine's Day/Presidents Day weekend in February 2025.
This movie is aiming for a more grounded political action thriller vibe similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Kevin Feige has emphasized "no aliens no alien invasions no time travel" promising a more down-to-earth action flick. However one familiar face will be missing: Bucky Barnes. Sebastian Stan won't be in Brave New World marking the first Captain America movie without Bucky.
