Hey movie buffs Netflix giveth and Netflix taketh away. And right now they are doing a bit of taking away. Yep it's that time of the month where we gotta say goodbye to some titles as they leave the streaming giant. But don't panic! We have got the heads-up on which movies are heading out in March and April of 2025 so you can binge them before they vanish into the streaming ether.
March Movie Exodus: Action Thrills and Monster Battles About to Disappear
If you are an action junkie listen up because March is looking a little thin on Netflix for action flicks soon. A bunch of seriously good action and thriller movies are on the chopping block so you will want to get your fix quick.
First up we have "No Escape". Now this one might have flown under your radar but it's a solid action-thriller with Owen Wilson in a totally different role than usual. Forget the comedy this time Wilson plays a dad in a nightmare situation trying to protect his family during a violent uprising in Southeast Asia. It is intense it is gripping and definitely worth a watch if you like being on the edge of your seat.
Next prepare for some monster mayhem with "Godzilla vs. Kong". Come on who doesn't love giant monsters smashing stuff? This movie is pure popcorn entertainment. It's all about Godzilla and Kong going head-to-head in an epic brawl. The human story might be a bit whatever but honestly you are here to see a giant lizard punch a giant ape right? Exactly. It is big dumb fun in the best way possible with Alexander Skarsgård and Millie Bobby Brown along for the ride too.
And last but definitely not least for March get ready for some post-apocalyptic awesomeness with "Mad Max: Fury Road". Seriously if you haven't seen this movie yet stop what you are doing and watch it NOW. Many people call it one of the greatest action movies ever made and they are not wrong. It's got everything: a crazy cool world memorable characters and action scenes that will blow your mind. Director George Miller seriously set a new standard for action films with this one. Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron are amazing and you will be hooked from start to finish. Do not miss this one before it leaves!
April's Departures: Horror Thrills Family Fun and Heavy Drama Heading Out

April is bringing another wave of movies leaving and this time it's a bit of a mixed bag with horror drama family films and even a slasher flick on the way out.
For the horror fans out there you have got to check out "Hereditary" before it disappears. This movie is not for the faint of heart it is seriously creepy and disturbing psychological horror. Ari Aster's directorial debut is about a family that starts to unravel after a tragedy and things just get darker and scarier from there. Toni Collette gives an absolutely incredible performance and the movie will stick with you long after you watch it but be warned it is intense!
If you are in the mood for some slasher goodness you have got "Scream" (the fifth one) leaving. This movie brought back the classic Scream franchise for a new generation 25 years after the original Woodsboro murders. Ghostface is back with a new set of rules and a whole new cast of teens to terrorize. But don't worry Neve Campbell Courteney Cox and David Arquette all return too for some nostalgic slasher action. It is a fun and bloody ride for horror fans.
Need something for family movie night? "Clifford the Big Red Dog" is on its way out. This one is based on the classic kids books and it is a sweet story about a girl and her giant red puppy. It is all about friendship acceptance and unconditional love. A perfect pick if you want something heartwarming and fun for the whole family even if it might be a bit cheesy.
For something a bit more serious and dramatic there's "Serena" starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. This movie is set during the Depression era and follows a newlywed couple running a timber business in North Carolina. It's a heavy drama with complex themes about power ambition and love. If you are in the mood for something intense and thought-provoking this might be up your alley but be prepared it is not a lighthearted watch.
And lastly for those who like post-apocalyptic thrillers "A Quiet Place Part II" is also leaving. This sequel picks up right after the first one with the Abbott family still trying to survive in a world overrun by sound-sensitive monsters. It is tense suspenseful and Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy are great in it. If you liked the first "Quiet Place" you will definitely want to catch this one before it's gone.
