Currituck County Rebrands to "The Northern Outer Banks": Tourism Gets a New Name

Speaking of the Outer Banks did you know there is a rebrand happening? Currituck County Travel and Tourism is now officially called "The Northern Outer Banks". If you are not from around here Currituck County is the northern part of the Outer Banks including Corolla and Carova.

Why the name change? Well apparently "Currituck" was not really resonating with tourists . People know "Outer Banks" but "Currituck County" is harder to spell pronounce and it just doesn't sound like a vacation destination. They are launching a new website in July with the new branding. So keep an eye out for "The Northern Outer Banks" – it's the same beautiful place with a brand new name!
