Alright Bravo fans you know we gotta talk about Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo. These two were like the power couple of reality TV right? Southern Charm meets Summer House it was supposed to be epic. Well spoiler alert things didn't exactly go smoothly and now it's officially over. Grab your popcorn because this breakup is full of drama and we are here to spill all the tea.
"It Wasn't Real" - Craig Conover's Reunion Shock and the Paige Breakup Timeline That Confused Everyone
So the Southern Charm Season 10 reunion just aired and Craig dropped some truth bombs about his split with Paige. Apparently Paige actually broke up with him way back after Thanksgiving. Yes you heard that right like months ago! But Craig admitted he was in denial about the whole thing.
He even went on Watch What Happens Live in mid-December and acted like they were still together! Why? Because Craig said he "didn't think the breakup was real" at that point. He told Andy Cohen at the reunion that they had been planning their life for three whole years talking about family and all that serious stuff. So a phone call breakup after Thanksgiving just didn't seem like the end to him.
Craig said Paige broke up with him over the phone after a "great" Thanksgiving with her parents. Her reason? She needed to "go find herself." Cue the eye rolls right? But it gets even messier. Craig actually went to Paige's NYC apartment after his WWHL appearance to figure out what was going on. According to Craig Paige told him she might be making the "worst mistake of her life" but still needed to do her thing. And then get this when Craig asked about the engagement ring Paige apparently said "Well keep it. Maybe we’ll get married at BravoCon!” Mixed signals much?
Hater Boyfriend or Just Insecure? Paige's Side of the Story and Why She Pulled the Plug
Over on Summer House we got to see a bit more of Paige's perspective leading up to the split. In one episode Paige was venting to her BFF Ciara about Craig's neediness. She said they went to dinner and Craig was all about how he always comes to see her and now she is going on this big Giggly Squad podcast tour and he just wants to make sure their relationship is still a "priority." Ciara's reaction? Major eye roll and "Basically like ‘What about me?’ Like ‘Woe is me.’" Sounds about right.
Paige also told Amanda that she felt like Craig gets "his feelings hurt if I’m shining." Ouch. And apparently Craig admitted to Paige that he doesn't share his insecurities on camera because it would be "negative." Paige's response was basically "Dude that's literally what's happening! That validates my stuff!" She even wondered "Am I dating a secret hater?" It sounds like Paige was feeling like Craig wasn't truly supportive of her career and success and maybe even a little jealous.
Ciara straight up called Craig a "f--king hater-ass boyfriend" saying Paige shouldn't have to dim her light for him. Paige even joked that if her mom heard Craig's comments "She’d f--king kill me." Clearly there were some deep-seated issues brewing in this relationship beyond just long distance.
No New Boo for Paige (Yet?) and Craig's Still Processing - What's Next for These Bravo Stars?
So is Paige already dating someone new? Craig grilled her about it at the reunion asking point blank if she left him for another guy. Paige swore up and down she wasn't talking or dating anyone. But Craig also mentioned she asked him "Why didn’t you try to get me back?" Which yeah sounds a little confusing after she broke up with him. Craig's take? "I knew you shouldn’t be with someone you have to beg to be with." Fair enough Craig.
As for Craig he seems genuinely still processing the whole thing. He admitted it was "unexpected" and he was "shocked." He said it's tough going from talking to your best friend all day every day to them just being gone. He's asking for "grace" and time to figure things out. So for now it looks like Craig Conover is officially single folks. But knowing Bravo drama we are guessing this isn't the last we have heard of Craig and Paige's saga. Stay tuned!
