Okay Full House fans you are not gonna believe this. We all have our favorite episodes of the feel-good family sitcom right? But guess what? Even the stars of the show have episodes they are just not feeling. And Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy) just spilled the tea on the one episode they both agree is the absolute WORST. Prepare for some Tanner family truth bombs!
'Sea Cruise' Sets Sail to the Bottom: Sweetin and Barber Crown This Season 1 Episode the Ultimate Fail
Jodie and Andrea who host the hilarious "How Rude Tanneritos!" podcast where they rewatch and dissect every single episode of Full House were chatting about Season 1. They were supposed to be picking out the best and the brightest but guess what? They quickly landed on the opposite end of the spectrum the absolute bottom of the barrel.
When asked about the worst episode of season one Jodie did not even hesitate. "I think the audience already knows the answer to the worst" she said. Andrea totally agreed. "Oh yeah" she chimed in. They even did a countdown "One two three" and both yelled out "Sea Cruise!".
Yep episode 5 of season 1 "Sea Cruise" is officially dubbed the worst by Steph and Kimmy themselves. Andrea went all in saying "Easily the worst episode! I don't think there's been a worse episode since Sea Cruise. Like I think Sea Cruise takes the cake for all seasons!". Jodie agreed wholeheartedly "Sea Cruise takes the cake!". Looks like "Sea Cruise" is one voyage no Tanneritos want to re-live.
So what exactly makes "Sea Cruise" so bad? Well the episode has Danny trying to bond with Jesse and Joey by planning a guys-only fishing trip. But of course things go sideways when some attractive women end up on board turning it into a "love boat cruise" instead. Danny still grieving his late wife is not thrilled about flirting again. Meanwhile Jesse’s ego gets in the way of reconnecting with an old flame. And the girls Stephanie DJ and Michelle have their own separate storyline about a "Honeybees" girl group leadership drama. Sounds like a bit of a mess right?
Creepy Dreams and Howie Mandel Don't Help: Other 'Full House' Low Points Get Called Out

While "Sea Cruise" is their undisputed champion of badness Jodie and Andrea did mention a couple of other moments that made them cringe. Jodie brought up a "weird Michelle dream sequence" calling it "creepy". Andrea agreed it was indeed "very creepy". Anyone remember that one? Nightmares in the Tanner house!
They also gave a shout-out to "the Howie stuff" as being "pretty low". If you are racking your brain "Howie stuff?" That would be Howie Mandel's guest appearance in the episode "Honey vs. Vinegar". While Howie Mandel is usually hilarious it seems his Full House appearance was not a high point for the show. But even with those other questionable moments Andrea insisted "Still not as bad as Sea Cruise yeah. I keep waiting to assign to crown a new worst episode but for me it's Sea Cruise. It's still there." Poor "Sea Cruise" it sounds like it's going to hold that "worst episode" title for a long time to come in the eyes of Jodie and Andrea.
DJ's Weight Worries: Candace Cameron Bure Addresses the "Shape Up" Episode's Uncomfortable Spotlight

Speaking of episodes that might make you squirm there's another Full House episode that has come under scrutiny over the years: "Shape Up". In this episode from 1990 DJ Tanner is all stressed about losing weight before a pool party. Andrea Barber actually called this episode "very uncomfortable to watch" on their podcast.
Andrea said it "made me really feel for Candace too having to carry this storyline". She pointed out that even though the show’s creator Jeff Franklin got Candace's parents' permission for the storyline it still puts a "spotlight on a teenage girl and her insecurity". Jodie added that it's tough to deal with those kinds of personal issues and then have to "pretend that this is fine and that I can resolve it".
Candace Cameron Bure herself addressed the "Shape Up" episode and the discomfort some viewers feel about it now. She acknowledged that "times change the social norms shift". She said "People look back on certain things and they could say 'Oh well that’s politically incorrect now' or 'You can’t talk about that now.'" However Candace doesn't personally feel uncomfortable about it. She thinks "for the time and day it was really good advice from Aunt Becky" referring to Lori Loughlin’s character suggesting a balanced diet to DJ.
Candace even mentioned that the storyline came from her own life a bit. "It was a time even in my life that I had kind of gone through my own little weight loss journey and I think the writers they were always taking stories that were true to us as people and kind of writing them into our characters". She felt it was a "good story to tell" at the time and that the show was "really respectful" in how they handled it.
Ultimately Candace is just happy people are still watching and talking about Full House all these years later even if they are picking apart old episodes. "Listed I’m just happy people are still watching FULL HOUSE so if they want to talk about it go ahead and talk about it" she said.
Fuller House… Again? Candace Cameron Bure Responds to Reboot Rumors

With all this Full House talk naturally the question of another reboot comes up. After Fuller House on Netflix could there be even MORE Tanner family content in the future? Candace Cameron Bure weighed in on the reboot rumors recently. She told TV Insider "I have not heard anything on another reiteration of that. I will say FULLER HOUSE was one of the best experiences of my life. I just loved it — a lot. I loved being able to play a grown-up D.J. Tanner and I’d love to play her again."
So while there are no official plans right now Candace definitely sounds open to revisiting DJ Tanner again someday. Never say never right? For now Candace is keeping busy with other projects including starring in new Ainsley McGregor Mystery movies and a sequel to her Christmas movie "Home Sweet Christmas" with Cameron Mathison. But who knows maybe down the line we will see the Tanner family back on our screens in some form or another.
