Okay gamers and TV buffs listen up! The Last Of Us Season 2 is SO close we can almost hear the clickers. And from what the cast and creators are saying it's gonna be even more intense emotional and maybe even a little bit...unhealthy? Yep Pedro Pascal himself said it and we are both worried and totally hyped.
Pedro Pascal Admits 'The Last Of Us' Season 2 Put Him In An "Unhealthy" Mindset (Yikes!)
Pedro Pascal who plays our beloved (and grumpy) Joel Miller has been chatting about season 2 and he dropped a bit of a bombshell. He said this season was harder for him to separate himself from his character. Like he was really feeling Joel's pain. In a recent press conference he admitted it got "unhealthy" for him to film this season because he felt so connected to what Joel was going through. That sounds intense right?
He mentioned that the distance between Joel and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) at the start of season 2 was particularly tough. Even though filming those scenes with Bella were comforting because they still joke around off-camera the on-screen tension was real. Bella Ramsey agreed saying filming the scenes where Ellie and Joel are estranged "wasn't a nice feeling". Get ready for some serious feels folks because it sounds like Joel and Ellie's bond is going to be seriously tested this season.
Five Years Later: Season 2 Time Jump Means Older Ellie Deeper Rifts and New Dangers

Season 2 picks up five years after the end of season 1. That's a big time jump! Ellie is no longer a kid she is 19 now and a lot has changed. Bella Ramsey pointed out that these are formative years for anyone so expect Ellie to be different. The rift between her and Joel is just one part of it. The world itself is also getting even more dangerous and unpredictable. If you thought clickers and bloaters were scary just wait to see what Season 2 throws at them.
