This week the Mosely & Associates team is tackling a seriously bizarre case. Someone got snatched right in the middle of a highway in broad daylight! I mean people saw it happen but finding the victim and figuring out why they were taken is proving to be a real head-scratcher. Leave it to Gabi and her team to dive deep and try to unravel this mess.
But let's be real the case of the week is almost secondary to the HUGE elephant in the room: Jamie's back! Margaret's son has returned after being missing for years but Is it really him? That question is hanging over everything and causing major tension especially for Margaret who desperately wants to believe this is her boy.
Is Jamie Really Jamie? Suspicion and Doubt Run High at Mosely & Associates
Everyone except maybe Margaret is side-eyeing "Jamie" hard. Dhan is super suspicious. Lacey is worried for Margaret's emotional state. Even Zeke who usually keeps it cool is admitting he is wary. It seems like Margaret might be the only one 100% convinced this guy is her son and honestly can you blame her? She has been waiting for this for so long.
Detective Trent though he is playing it a bit differently. According to Brett Dalton who plays Trent "Trent in all of this seems to be taking Jamie at his word." Trent is being the "good guy" the calm in the storm. Jamie even seems to be gravitating towards Trent wanting to talk to him specifically. Maybe Jamie senses Trent's genuine nature? Or maybe he's just good at reading people. We will have to wait and see.
Trent's Love Life Goes Boom! Heather's Shocking Choice and Gabi's Lingering Shadow
Oh Trent poor Trent. Just when you thought he might find some happiness with Heather BAM! Heather drops a bomb . She is now representing Sir. Yes THAT Sir Gabi's tormentor and all-around monster. Major yikes.
This does not go down well with Trent surprise surprise. He sees it as a moral line crossed. He confronts Heather accusing her of prioritizing her career and status over doing what's right. Heather throws it back at him wondering if he is still hung up on Gabi. Ouch double yikes.
Brett Dalton even hinted "Trent is probably still in love with Gabi at the end of the day." So yeah Heather probably did not stand a chance. Trent's feelings for Gabi are clearly still running deep and Heather representing Sir just blew their relationship to smithereens. Talk about awkward office dynamics.
Will Lacey and Zeke Finally Get Together? Romance Might Be Blooming Amidst the Chaos
Amidst all the Jamie drama and Trent's relationship implosion there might be a tiny glimmer of romance on the horizon. Remember that kiss between Lacey and Zeke? Yeah they have not really talked about it yet. But Arlen Escarpeta who plays Zeke jokes "When they do have that conversation it’s got to be honest. It’s got to be as pure as what we’ve gotten from them already."
Gabrielle Walsh who plays Lacey adds "Life is messy. Relationships can be messy". But she also points out that Lacey and Zeke have "pure hearts" and a strong friendship. Behind the Scenes with Brett Dalton: Trent vs. Sir and Playing the "Good Guy"
In a recent interview Brett Dalton who plays Trent talked about what it's like playing his character. He mentioned that every scene with Sir is a "battle of wits". Sir is always "10 steps ahead" making it incredibly frustrating for Trent. Dalton also discussed what he enjoys about playing a "good guy" like Trent especially after playing villains in the past (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. anyone?).
While "bad guys have a lot of fun" Dalton appreciates playing someone with a strong moral compass like Trent. Trent tries to "do the right thing" even when it's tough and he is not always successful. Dalton sees Trent's efforts as "heroic" even if he is not a traditional hero. And yeah he admits Trent's feelings for Gabi "really blind him in a lot of ways" which definitely adds to the drama.
