Conquest Arrives and All Hell Breaks Loose: The Most Brutal Fight Scene Yet?
Remember how Season 1 ended with that absolutely devastating Omni-Man vs. Invincible brawl in Chicago? Yeah well Season 3 said "Hold my beer." The finale throws Mark Grayson right into the path of Conquest a Viltrumite so battle-hardened he makes Omni-Man look like he is fresh out of Viltrumite kindergarten. This fight is not messing around.
Conquest shows up because Mark has not exactly been prepping Earth for a Viltrumite takeover (oops). What follows is a no-holds-barred slugfest that makes the Omni-Man fight look like a friendly sparring match. Buildings crumble limbs get broken and innocent bystanders well let's just say they are collateral damage in a very gory way. In a callback to that infamous Chicago train scene Conquest grabs Mark and flies him straight through a crowded beach. Body parts flying blood spraying you get the picture. It is not for the faint of heart.
Even Atom Eve and Oliver jump into the fight but they are basically flies trying to swat a tank. Conquest is just that powerful. He knocks out Oliver's teeth almost rips him in half and then in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment he CLEAVES EVE'S JAW OFF and punches a hole through her stomach. Seriously.
Walking Dead Reunion Fight Club: Glenn vs. Negan Round Two!

If you are a fan of The Walking Dead get ready for a meta moment that is both awesome and slightly disturbing. Conquest is voiced by none other than Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Yes Negan himself. And he is going toe-to-toe with Steven Yeun who of course voiced Glenn in The Walking Dead. Mind blown?
Creator Robert Kirkman admitted it was intentional casting. He loves working with actors he knows and wanted to give Jeffrey Dean Morgan this role. And let's be honest the meta of Glenn finally getting revenge on Negan in animated superhero form is just too good to pass up. Kirkman joked it adds "an extra level of stakes" and for Walking Dead fans it is definitely a satisfying bit of justice even if it is incredibly violent justice.
Mark's Rage and a Glimmer of Hope (Thanks Eve!)

Just when you think Mark is done for Eve in full atomic glory style regenerates her body and blasts Conquest with energy. This gives Mark the opening he needs. Enraged and fueled by seeing Eve get practically destroyed Mark unleashes a final headbutt that pulverizes Conquest's skull into well let's just say it is not pretty. Is Conquest really dead? In Invincible world who knows but for now it seems like Mark won this round but at a terrible cost.
After the dust settles Mark is seriously messed up both physically and emotionally. He tells Cecil Stedman to burn Conquest's body promising he will kill anyone who threatens his family again. This is a darker angrier Mark than we have seen before. But Cecil being Cecil has his own shady plans. He secretly preserves Conquest's body because of course he does.
Hell is Coming? Damien Darkblood's Chilling Post-Credit Scene Teases Season 4

And because Invincible loves to leave you hanging there is a post-credit scene that is majorly intriguing and possibly terrifying. Damien Darkblood the demon detective who got banished to hell way back in Season 1 is back! He is talking to a sinister devil voiced by the one and only Bruce Campbell (yes Ash from Evil Dead himself!). They are discussing summoning a powerful "surface dweller" to the underworld. Guess who that surface dweller might be?
Robert Kirkman teased that this scene could be setting up an unused storyline from the comics where Invincible goes to hell and fights the devil himself. He said he always wanted to do a "hell" storyline but never found the right moment until now. Getting Bruce Campbell to voice a demon that might be Satan? That is just perfect casting and a seriously exciting and scary tease for Season 4.
Season 4 in 2026? What to Expect and When to Expect It

So when can we expect Season 4 after that crazy finale? Kirkman is aiming for a similar timeline as the jump between Seasons 2 and 3 which means we are likely looking at a 2026 release. He praised Amazon for their support and for allowing them to work ahead which is why they can keep up a pretty consistent release schedule. While he could not give an exact date or month he did say "The plan is that you will see Season 4 in 2026." So mark your calendars and get ready for more Invincible action even if we have to wait a bit.
Must-See Moments from the Invincible Season 3 Finale:

- The entire Conquest vs. Invincible fight: Seriously every minute of it.
- Conquest's brutality: Especially the beach scene and how easily he defeats Eve and Oliver.
- Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Conquest: The Negan voice is chillingly perfect for this villain.
- Eve's regeneration: That atomic burst of power is visually stunning.
- Mark's final headbutt: Gruesome but you cannot deny the impact.
- Damien Darkblood's post-credit scene: Bruce Campbell as a demon? Yes please!
