Actor Joe Manganiello revealed his emotional side when asked about his late friend Paul Reubens . In a recent interview with People the Magic Mike star shared how a question about Reubens caught him off guard and brought him to tears.
"I got choked up when someone asked me about Paul Reubens [his friend and Pee-wee’s Big Holiday costar]" Manganiello told People. "It snuck up on me I really do miss him. He was such a kind and generous person who would come over on Thanksgiving and to parties at the house. I spoke at his memorial . He was family to me."
Manganiello emphasized his acceptance of all emotions stating "I’m not somebody who thinks that people need to be happy all the time. Whatever comes comes; whatever happens happens." This statement shows his grounded perspective on life's ups and downs.
Currently hosting NBC's Deal or No Deal Island Manganiello also participated in People's "One Last Thing" segment revealing some fun details about his recent activities.
When asked about the last time he sang out loud Manganiello responded "I sing all the time. People have to stop me in grocery stores restaurants—I guess it’s the theater guy in me. If you’re not causing a ruckus in public then you’re not doing it right." He further added about a recent musical moment "Just this morning I posted a music video of Dr. Will [from Deal or No Deal Island] singing Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up' on my Instagram and I've been singing it all day. I've actually got band practice with Goldfinger next week. I'm singing a song with them on stage at their next show."
Regarding his last tattoo Manganiello shared "The last one was the Orthodox Armenian word for luck which also means fate on my right arm. The script is the way my great-grandmother who escaped the genocide would’ve read it." This reveals a personal and meaningful connection to his heritage.
In terms of DIY projects Manganiello mentioned "I’m purging and getting rid of a lot of stuff so I put together all these clothes racks to move them out. I’m handy but it’s not like the old days where you could pop the hood of your car and understand what’s in there. You need a computer engineer to fix it now." This humorous take on modern DIY shows his relatable side.
Finally Manganiello spoke about his dog making him laugh saying "She’s the cutest thing in the entire world so it’s nonstop. Today she was running around under the bed and I was chasing her. She’s on my lap right now and yelling at people as they walk by us as I’m talking to you." This heartwarming anecdote highlights his love for his pet.
