Hey Saturday Night Live fans are you ready for your weekly dose of comedy? Well settle in but maybe adjust your expectations just a tad because unfortunately folks there is no brand new episode of SNL dropping tonight March 15 2025.
What's on Instead? Emma Stone's Five-Timers Club Episode Re-Airs for Your Viewing Pleasure
Don't worry though because NBC is not leaving us completely hanging. Instead of a fresh episode they are re-airing a recent gem: the Season 49 episode hosted by the amazing Emma Stone with Musical guest Noah Kahan. If you missed it the first time or just want to relive the laughs this is your chance!
This particular episode which originally aired back on December 2 2023 is a fun one for a few reasons. First off it marks Emma Stone's fifth time hosting SNL which is a big deal. That means she officially joined the super exclusive Five-Timers Club! In her monologue she even got inducted into the club with cameos from fellow members Tina Fey and Candice Bergen who gifted her that iconic Five-Timers Club velvet jacket.
Besides Emma Stone's hosting gig the episode also featured the musical stylings of Noah Kahan. He made his SNL debut that night performing "Dial Drunk" and "Stick Season" tracks from his popular album. So even though it's a re-run there's still plenty of star power to enjoy.
Craving More Recent SNL? Consider Chris Rock's Hilarious Year-End Episode

If you are looking for something a bit more recent while waiting for new SNL episodes to arrive some folks are suggesting checking out another recent re-airing. Americansongwriter.com points out that the Chris Rock hosted episode from December 14 2024 is a great option.
This episode which aired just before Christmas had Chris Rock doing what he does best: delivering some fiery and hilarious commentary. His monologue reportedly touched on everything from P-Diddy to Donald Trump and even some unexpected names like Luigi Mangione and the Menendez brothers. Fans online seemed to love Rock's take on summarizing the year in his signature comedic style.
That episode also featured Gracie Abrams as the musical guest. She performed "That's So True" from her album "The Secret of Us". So if you are in the mood for some stand-up comedy mixed with musical performance that Chris Rock/Gracie Abrams episode might just hit the spot.
When Will SNL Be Back with New Episodes? Predicting a Return Date

So why no new SNL tonight? Well after big events like the recent 50th Anniversary special and back-to-back new episodes with Shane Gillis and Lady Gaga SNL often takes a short break. It is pretty typical scheduling for the show to have these pauses throughout the season.
Decider.com points out that last season SNL had a similar schedule pattern with back-to-back episodes in early March followed by a break before returning later in the month. Based on that they are guessing we might see new episodes return either on Saturday March 29 or Saturday April 5. Of course NBC has not officially announced a return date yet so we will have to keep our eyes peeled for official news.
