Pete Davidson is embracing a new image. The comedian and former Saturday Night Live personality is featured as the "official boyfriend" in Reformation 's latest Valentine's Day campaign. In a promotional video shared on social media Davidson explains his repeated visits to Reformation stores to act as a supportive partner.
“You look amazing you should definitely get that. Yes” he says to a woman just outside of camera view.
Davidson adds “I’m someone’s boyfriend and I take that seriously.”
The advertisement shows the actor offering words of encouragement and making dinner reservations. Davidson a Staten Island native is known for his past relationships with celebrities such as Kim Kardashian Emily Ratajkowski and Kaia Gerber.
He posed for campaign photos one showing him in an "official boyfriend" shirt and another displaying his significantly less-tattooed skin. Davidson recently mentioned on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon his progress in removing approximately 200 tattoos.
“Yeah I’ve been burning them off” Davidson told Fallon. “They’re almost gone.”
Davidson described the tattoo removal as unpleasant. “It’s horrible” he stated. “They gotta burn off a layer of your skin and then it has to heal for like six to eight weeks and you can’t get in the sunlight” he continued. “Then you got to do it like 12 more times.”
Variety reports the Reformation campaign is Davidson's "hard launch" of his tattoo-free physique. The campaign called “Official Boyfriend of Reformation” launched recently for Valentine’s Day. Images shot by Angelo Pennetta show Davidson in limited-edition crewnecks with phrases like “Official Boyfriend” and “Official Girlfriend” along with boxer briefs.

“Hey you may know me from stuff. For the past few years the one thing that’s given me the space to collect myself has been coming here a couple times a week and being the perfect boyfriend” Davidson narrates.
He continues “Yes I’m someone’s boyfriend and I take that seriously. Reliability. Loyalty. It’s an accumulation of things. Make her a hot water bottle for when her tummy hurts. Put the seat down. Don’t tell her to relax or try to fix her. Say you’re sorry. Actually most of the time don’t say anything at all. It’s honest work and somebody’s gotta do it.”
NBC notes Davidson a Saturday Night Live alum is recognized for his humor movie roles and extensive tattoos. Until recently Davidson had around 200 tattoos. He decided to "burn off" his tattoos as he described to Jimmy Fallon. He expressed satisfaction with the results and showcased his tattoo-free appearance in the Reformation campaign.
