Okay Severance fans if you're anything like us you are probably still reeling from the latest episode "The After Hours" . Seriously with only one episode left in Season two things are getting INTENSE. Buckle up because we are diving deep into the drama the heartache and all those crazy Lumon twists that just keep coming.
Drummond vs. Milchick: Performance Reviews Get Brutal and Someone's About to Snap!
Let's talk about Milchick first because wow things got heated for our favorite (and kinda terrifying) middle manager. Remember how last season Milchick was all cool dance moves and menacing smiles? Well season two has been a rollercoaster for him and "The After Hours" showed him hitting a breaking point.
After Helena Eagan's near-mishap at the ORTBO things go south for Milchick fast. Enter Mr. Drummond Lumon's enforcer who gives performance reviews that are less 'constructive criticism' and more 'soul-crushing demolition'. Drummond tears into Milchick criticizing him for everything including using "words that are too big". Seriously? It's brutal to watch.
But here's the kicker. Milchick who is usually all about Lumon loyalty finally SNAPS. He actually stands up to Drummond telling him to "devour feculence" (which is a fancy way of saying "eat sht"!). It's a huge moment. We see Milchick's frustration his fear and maybe even a hint of rebellion bubbling up. Is Milchick about to go rogue? We are definitely intrigued to find out.
"Bon Voyage Buddy": Irving and Burt's Goodbye Scene Will Wreck You Emotionally

If you weren't already emotionally invested in Burt and Irving's forbidden office romance "The After Hours" just cranked up the heartbreak to eleven. In a scene that's both beautiful and gut-wrenching Burt and Irving have what might be their final goodbye.
Burt reveals he's been tasked by Lumon to "see to Mr. Bailiff" which sounds seriously ominous. Turns out Burt is basically Lumon's "goon" handling dirty work. But for Irving Burt is making an exception. He helps Irving escape buying him a train ticket to nowhere and urging him to disappear to stay safe from Lumon's wrath.
The goodbye is packed with callbacks to their season one romance those sweet moments in the Perpetuity Wing. They exchange "I want to remember it" and "Probably better if we don't" lines that echo their earlier conversations. It's beautifully acted heartbreakingly real and leaves us wondering is this really the end for Irving? John Turturro himself hints "not likely" and we are holding onto that hope for dear life.
Dylan's Proposal and Severance Suicide? Things Get Dark (and Romantic?) for Our Favorite Innie

Dylan’s storyline in "The After Hours" is a wild ride. His outie's wife Gretchen drops a bombshell she kissed his innie! Dylan is understandably freaked out and confused. He feels betrayed but also weirdly… desired? It is classic Severance levels of messed up.
