Alright HGTV fans gather ‘round because the dust has settled on season one of The Flip Off! We've been glued to our screens watching Christina Haack (formerly Hall) go head-to-head with her ex Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa in a house flipping battle for the ages. After weeks of renovations nail-biting challenges and some seriously impressive home transformations guest judge Jeff Lewis had to make the tough call. In the end it was Team Tarek and Heather who walked away with The Flip Off title! They managed to snag a higher return on investment ROI on their flipped house which sealed the deal.
But let's be real Christina definitely held her own. She tackled this competition solo after her split from Josh Hall and still managed to pull off an amazing flip and a solid profit. She even said she was "proud" she finished strong without a partner. Girl power!
New Love Alert: Christina Haack's Boyfriend Christopher Larocca Makes a Surprise Cameo!
Speaking of personal moments the finale had a sweet surprise for Christina fans. Her New boyfriend Christopher Larocca made a low-key appearance in the episode! He was there supporting Christina at her Newport Beach home as everyone waited for the winner announcement.
Christopher wasn't trying to steal the show he mostly hung back in a black shirt and blazer blending in with Christina's crew. But eagle-eyed viewers spotted him in a few shots especially hanging out with Christina and Tarek's kids Taylor and Brayden. It’s his first time appearing on HGTV and a subtle way of showing his support for Christina.
Christina and Christopher went Instagram official just recently in February 2025 but rumors had been swirling for months. They were reportedly dating secretly since around October 2024 after her breakup with Josh Hall. Since going public Christina has been sharing cute photos of them traveling to Paris Florida and more. Christopher has even met Tarek and Heather already and they all seem to be getting along just fine.
From Co-Stars to Co-Parents: Christina and Tarek Find Closure Amidst Competition
The Flip Off wasn't just about flipping houses it was also a journey of healing and growth for Christina especially in her relationships. She started the show with her then-husband Josh Hall who was supposed to be her partner in the competition. But as we know things changed. Josh filed for divorce from Christina during filming and their split played out in the early episodes.
In the finale Christina opened up about how the show helped her process everything with Josh and even repair some things with Tarek. She admitted the last few months were "very difficult" and that she realized she needs to "slow down" and be "more comfortable in her own skin" away from negative influences.
Despite the competition Christina and Tarek both agreed that the show brought them a sense of "peace" and "closure" they hadn't had before. They were able to finally say some things they had left unsaid for years and move forward as a family on "all sides". That’s a pretty awesome outcome from a house flipping show right?
Christina's Design "Trick" Revealed: White Paint for the Win (and Bigger-Looking Spaces!)
Of course it wouldn't be a Christina Haack show without some amazing design tips! In the finale Christina shared one of her go-to tricks for making a house look bigger: paint it white!
She used a "crisp white" paint on the exterior of her Carson California flip house after adding stucco to smooth it out. She also painted a new wall around the pool area white. Christina explained that white paint is a "little trick" to make a house "appear larger than it is" and create a "grand" and "new" feel that buyers love. While she didn't share the exact shade of white plenty of designers and HGTV stars swear by white paint for interiors and exteriors.
