Hey there crime drama addicts! If you were all set to settle in for your Thursday night Law & Order fix we have got a little heads-up for you. No fresh cases hitting our screens this week for either Law & Order or Law & Order: SVU. Yep both shows are taking a short breather. But before you start panicking and reaching for the remote in despair don't worry it is not all bad news!

Why the Break? Suits Spinoff Steals the Spotlight (For Now!)

So why the sudden pause in our weekly dose of justice? Turns out NBC is giving a little extra airtime to their shiny new series Suits L.A.. They are re-airing the first two episodes of this Suits spin-off in the usual Law & Order Thursday night slot. Think of it as a mini-marathon to get everyone hooked on the new show. It is all part of the network TV scheduling game especially as we head towards the end of the season. Networks often build in these breaks to make sure they have enough episodes to last until May sweeps. Plus sometimes production schedules need a little catching up. It is all part of the TV dance.

But hey on the bright side this break is actually pretty short! You will not have to wait too long to get your 21st Precinct and SVU fix.

Mark Your Calendars! Law & Order and SVU Return Next Week with Brand New Episodes - Here's What's Coming

Uh Oh SVU & Law & Order Fans! No New Episodes This Week But We Have Good News! image 3

Get ready to set your DVRs or clear your Thursday night schedule because Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU are coming back next week - Thursday March 13 2025 to be exact! That is just around the corner. And both shows are promising some seriously gripping storylines when they return.

First up at 8 PM Eastern Time it is Law & Order Season 24 Episode 15 titled "Crossing Lines". This one sounds like it will be intense. Detectives Shaw and Riley are diving into the mysterious death of a rising politician. As they dig deeper into the victim's life they are sure to uncover some tangled secrets and a suspect that might surprise you. Meanwhile ADA Baxter is facing a personal conflict of interest in this case which could make things even more complicated for Price and the prosecution.

Then at 9 PM Eastern it is Law & Order: SVU Season 26 Episode 15 called "Undertow". SVU is tackling a particularly sensitive and divisive case this time around. Benson and her squad are dealing with a case that involves both drug use and sex which sounds like it will be anything but straightforward. Expect the squad room to be divided on this one and the trial to be a media frenzy. Carisi will have his work cut out for him trying to keep the jury focused on the legal facts amidst all the sensational details. Sounds like a classic SVU episode that will have everyone talking.
