The word broke out on Sunday March 2nd and it hit hard. George Lowe a veteran voice actor and comedian was gone. His representative confirmed the news and long time friend Marvelous Marvin Boone shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook. Boone said he was beyond devastated calling George his "Zobanian brother" and best friend of over 40 years. He remembered George as a supremely talented artist voice actor and the "funniest man on Earth". That really sums up George Lowe for so many fans.

George Lowe's story is pretty cool. He actually started super young in radio. At just 15 he got his first radio gig at local station WWJB in Florida. Can you imagine getting your start that early? But it was in 1994 that he landed the role that would make him a legend: Space Ghost in Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
This show was unlike anything else. It was a talk show parody hosted by the Hanna Barbera superhero Space Ghost but totally reimagined for a late-night audience. Live-action celebrities would be interviewed by Space Ghost and it was just brilliantly weird and funny. George Lowe's voice was key to the show's success. He voiced Space Ghost from 1994 to 2004 on Cartoon Network and later Adult Swim . He totally made that character his own turning a forgotten 60s cartoon superhero into a modern comedy icon.
