Timothy Ratliff is having a REALLY bad time. His pill popping is getting out of control. We see him straight up steal his wife's lorazepam stash and he is popping them like candy. Turns out his lawyer gave him some seriously awful news. He is going to lose everything house included and probably do jail time because his buddy Kenny is singing like a bird to the feds. No wonder he is stress-swallowing pills!
In a seriously unfortunate turn of events Timothy's drug-fueled panic attack happens right outside the security gate. And guess who left a loaded gun lying around unattended at said gate? Yep poor security guard Gaitok. He got a gun to beef up security after that robbery but he has zero training and apparently zero common sense. He was too busy being flustered by the charming Mook to remember basic gun safety. Surprise surprise the gun goes missing. This can't be good folks. Chekhov's gun anyone?
Blonde Girlfriends Gone Wild (Sort Of): Water Guns and Yacht Parties But Still No Fun?
The trio of blonde frenemies Jaclyn Kate and Laurie decide they need a "vibe change". Jaclyn is leading the charge naturally. Their escape attempts are comedy gold. First they try a nearby retirement resort which Jaclyn immediately nopes out of. Then they end up smack dab in the middle of a Thai New Year water fight. These ladies are NOT amused by getting soaked with water guns. They run screaming into a mini-mart for cover. Seriously rich people problems are hilarious.
Eventually they guilt Valentin into taking them somewhere actually fun. Enter Gary's yacht! They "kidnap" Valentin and his buddies Vlad and Aleksei (remember those maybe-robbers?) and head out for a boat party. But even on a fancy yacht things are awkward. The vibe is off. Victoria is judging everyone. It feels less like a party and more like forced mingling with a side of champagne.
But hey Saxon is having a blast. He is making cringe-y jokes flirting with Chloe and generally being the annoying life of the party. He even tries to toast with "Sawadika" but butchers the pronunciation into something that sounds uncomfortably close to "Swastika". Yikes dude read the room.
Belinda's Bad Feeling and Greg's Cold Eyes: Is Belinda in Danger?
Belinda is not having a good time either. She is still freaked out by Gary/Greg and his familiar face. She does some internet sleuthing and BAM realizes who he is: Greg Hunt Tanya McQuoid's maybe-widower! And Tanya is DEAD. Belinda is putting the pieces together and she is rightly terrified. She knows Greg recognized her and now she knows about Tanya's suspicious death. Not a good combo.
Greg is also clearly keeping tabs on Belinda. He is spotted talking to hotel manager Fabian looking shady. Then we see him creepily scrolling through Belinda's Instagram zooming in on a picture of her and her son Zion. Uh oh. Is Greg planning something? Is Belinda going to be the body we saw in episode 1? Things are definitely pointing in that direction and it is making us seriously nervous for Belinda and Zion.
Rick's Revenge Plan: "You Killed My Father Prepare to Die"?
Rick finally spills the beans to Chelsea about why they are REALLY in Thailand. It is not just R&R. He is on a revenge mission! He believes the owner of the White Lotus is the guy who killed his dad in some land dispute years ago. Chelsea is understandably worried he is going to do something stupid and get himself killed. She even makes a funny Princess Bride reference asking if he is planning a "You killed my father prepare to die" showdown.
Rick claims he just wants to look the guy in the eye but we are not buying it. He is clearly wound up and revenge-bent. Amrita tries to offer him some peace telling him to let go of his story and break the karmic cycle. But Rick is too focused on his anger and heads off to Bangkok.
